As the awning blind is installed outside, it provides effective protection against tiresome heat on the sunny days and reduces heat loss in winter. This has a direct impact on savings on cooling in summer and heating in winter.
The awning blind is made of durable, weather-resistant fibreglass material coated with PVC. The fabric is rolled up on a spring-loaded shaft with motor and inserted into an aluminium cassette mounted above the window. There is a special
tape in the fabric’s edges that keeps appropriate fabric tension between guide rails and prevents the fabric falling out of them. Such fabric and profile connection increases its resistance against wind. This solution withstands wind gusts of up to 120 km/h, and side wind speed of up to 220 km/h.
SMZ Solar awning blinds come in two colour groups:
I group – available in 2 colours (fabric with 10% relative open area).
II group – available in 1 colour (fabric with 1% relative open area)
Awning blinds are available in RAL 7022 (grey-brown) as standard. RAL 9005 (black) and RAL 7016 (anthracite) are available upon request without additional charge.
Electrically operated awning blind provides an exceptional comfort of use. After installing the awning, it is simply enough to press the button on the remote control or on the controller to open or close the blind. The blind can also be stopped at any position.
The SMZ Solar awning blind is powered by solar battery and operated by means of a remote control. It can be controlled using one of three modes: automatic (self-activating rolling up and unrolling dependend on the level of insolation), semi-automatic (self-activating unrolling, rolling up via a remote control) and operated via a remote control. The Solar awning blind is powered by 15VDC solar battery which is built into the cassette and recharged by the solar panel. The Solar type awning blinds should be fitted in places with the solar panel positioned direct to sun exposure. It is recommended to install awnings on south, east and west-facing roofs. Installation in the north side may result in battery discharge and the inability to operate the awning.
