The LXW-B upper hatch is a piston-assisted attic ladder upper hatch designed to fully enclose the attic ladder opening from the attic side. It creates a continuous, gasket-sealed barrier that covers the entire ladder hardware, improving thermal performance and attic-side cleanliness.
By forming an airtight enclosure above the attic ladder, the LXW-B attic ladder insulation cover reduces air leakage and can improve the overall insulation value of selected attic ladder models by up to 100%. This helps reduce heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer, supporting improved energy efficiency.
The sealed construction also functions as an attic ladder air seal, preventing dust, insulation fibers, and debris from entering the ladder opening and living space below. Gas pistons provide smooth and controlled operation, allowing safe and convenient attic access when required.
